Actors’ Equity Association (“Equity”), founded in 1913, is the U.S. labor union that represents more than 50,000 Actors and Stage Managers. Equity seeks to foster the art of live theatre as an essential component of society and advances the careers of its members by negotiating wages, working conditions and providing a wide range of benefits, including health and pension plans. #EquityWorks.
Dee Jay Bankhead has worked with Equity on a number of phases and projects in both New York and Los Angeles. Recently completed work includes a new waiting room, an updated way-finding and signage program, acoustic testing and selective renovation in Los Angeles.
Bankhead Real Estate served as project manager and owners representative on all aspects of the project; acting as main point of contact for all consultants, design team and contractor along with managing of day-to-day operations, the budget, cash flow and vendor accounts. BRE also assists Equity with ongoing property management.
